Wyoming's tax structure presents many challenges. The heavy reliance on the national resource sectors results in extreme revenue fluctuations and uncertainty. Under the current tax structure, efforts to stimulate sectors in the state outside of natural resources doesn't yield any kind of significant positive fiscal impact on State revenue.
Ashley Harpstreith, Executive Director for the Wyoming Taxpayers Association will provide an eye-opening presentation of Wyoming's tax structure and current policy considerations for addressing this challenge.
